Every recent message, yes. Seems kind of silly, I suppose ;) I'm open to
better key exchange ideas (e.g. PANDA)

I've seen something in Pond about having the correspondents keep track of
the time of the original key exchange, which might be useful for figuring
out where to look for a given key exchange message in the feed.
