Hijacking Alice’s WIFI is not what I was talking about there.

Neither was I throwing out MITM attacks. Indeed that is what Namecoin prevents.

What Namecoin doesn’t prevent is what no technology on Earth can prevent, and that is being disconnected from the Internet.

Once you are disconnected, you are disconnected. No magic will fix that without re-connecting you to it.
